Key Responsibilities- Manage chronic diseases within own scope of practice, with a strong focus on patient empowerment
- Work with patients to develop and agree individual management plans
- Obtain information using a lifestyle questioning approach to identify and address health promotion issues
- Collect pathological specimens, including intravenous blood samples and swabs
- Assess and manage routine wounds, including trauma
- Support and advise women requesting information relating to family planning needs
- Support and manage health needs of women presenting for cervical cytology consultations
- Implement and participate in vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children
- Remove and insert pessaries
- Undertake and interpret spirometry to enable the diagnosis and monitoring of Asthma/COPD
- Advise, support, and where appropriate, administer vaccinations for patients travelling abroad
- Provide ear care, including syringing
- Assist in providing minor-surgery sessions when required
- Carry out appropriate domiciliary visits to patients as directed by the Partners
- Registered Adult Nurse on the NMC Register without restrictions
- Experience of organising and prioritising own workload
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience of delivering compassionate care to a wide range of patients
