Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled midwife to join our team in the Fetal Medicine Unit at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. As a midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal periods.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and babies
  • Working closely with obstetricians, other healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Registration as a midwife with the NMC
  • Post-registration experience in midwifery
  • SSSA evidence of training
  • BFI Training
  • Desirable criteria: NIPE, NLS, or ALSO equivalent; leadership experience

Candidates must have appropriate UK professional registration and be willing to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
