Job Title: Business Advisor

Role Summary:

The Business Advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting pre-start, small, and medium-sized businesses in the West London area. With a background in business advice, business education, or similar, you will guide aspiring and existing business owners through the process of starting and scaling their ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide bespoke business advice to pre-start and SME businesses.
  • Help transform aspirations into thriving businesses.
  • Guide clients through the process of starting and scaling their ventures.
  • Connect clients with industry contacts and potential partners.
  • Design and deliver customized solutions tailored to start-up needs.

Requirements:

  • Entrepreneurial Background: A proven track record in entrepreneurship, ideally with experience in founding or growing start-up businesses.
  • Experience in Business Advice: At least three years of experience in providing business advice to pre-start and SME businesses.
  • Expertise in Key Business Areas: Proficiency in at least two of the following: financial management, marketing, sales, business strategy, fundraising, or industry-specific knowledge relevant to start-ups.
  • Business Support Resources: Experience and understanding of using a wide range of business support resources and tools.
  • Digital Proficiency: Proficiency with digital productivity tools and experience in using a CRM.
  • Networking Abilities: Strong networking skills.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Aptitude for identifying business challenges and developing strategic solutions.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong focus on understanding and addressing the specific needs and pain points of start-up clients.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in delivering government-funded business support programmes.
  • Experience in delivering presentations, workshops, and training sessions tailored to start-up audiences.
