Buying Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Buying Assistant to join our team at Asda Stores Ltd. As a Buying Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Buyer in all areas, including sales tracking and analysis, admin support, and marketing.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Buyer in sales tracking and analysis, ensuring accurate and efficient data management.
- Provide admin support, including line listing, cost and retail changes, and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Contribute to decisions on ranges and promotions, and answer and resolve store/supplier queries.
- Raise and reconcile internal and external invoices to the category, and assist the Buyer with competitor research and day-to-day trading of the category.
- Previous experience working as a Buying Assistant or a Buyer.
- Strong commercial awareness and being highly numerate.
- A strong understanding of customer requirements, market trends, and competitors.
