Rate: £15 per hour
Location: Family home
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and trustworthy Support Worker to join our team at People Plus ILS. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and care to an 18-year-old individual with a severe learning disability, genetic epilepsy, and hypermobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage the individual in activities they enjoy in the family home and garden
- Support with personal care, including managing toilet needs and cleaning
- Develop and build trust and understanding in the role with the individual and their parents
- Be comfortable working in a family home environment while respecting the family's privacy
- Have experience supporting others in the community with learning disabilities (not essential)
Requirements:
- Kind and compassionate nature
- Trustworthy and comfortable working in a family home environment
- Respectful of the family's privacy
- Ability to develop and build trust and understanding in the role
- Comfortable around dogs and cats
