About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Data Engineering & BI team in Bournemouth. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our data assets, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and document analytics and reporting data requirements.
  • Assess the impact of changes to existing data assets and validate new requirements.
  • Participate in requirement gathering activities, including brainstorming, workshops, and focus groups.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across Vitality Group to deliver projects and deliverables.
  • Develop business cases to justify the feasibility of business data needs.
  • Test and prove deliverables to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Set up, monitor, and resolve automated report delivery.
  • Provide 1st line support for data queries and help determine the cause and extent of issues.
Requirements
  • Strong interests in business and technology, particularly regarding data, analysis, and software development.
  • Foundational knowledge of data profiling and data analysis using SQL technology.
  • Excel skills, including macros, pivots, complex formulas, and graphical summarization.
  • Visualisation skills, preferably with a foundational understanding of Power BI.
  • Investigative, analytical, and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
