NRG is partnering with a leading Utility organization to find a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.

Job Overview

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will work closely with the Infrastructure Team Lead to support cloud technologies and manage project delivery across various technologies.

Our client offers opportunities for growth and advancement within the company through internal and external training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality IT support and manage project delivery effectively.
  • Participate in planning and scoping for highly available cloud solutions.
  • Assist the Service Desk team with the support of existing cloud services and infrastructure as needed.
  • Embrace a DevOps culture and stay updated with the latest industry cloud offerings.
Requirements
  • Proficiency with core AWS services, including EC2, Storage, IAM, SNS, Lambda, Databases, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, API Gateways, and Systems Manager.
  • Capability to understand and manage AWS VPC network roles, such as Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, VPNs, ACLs, NACLs, Peering, and Route Tables.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles, including continuous delivery and continuous integration.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining server OS systems.
  • Familiarity with AWS billing and management.
  • Experience in performing root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.
  • Exposure to infrastructure project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of AWS security best practices.
  • Participation in an after-hours on-call rotation (1 in 4 weeks).
Desirable Skills
  • ITIL practices and knowledge of change control.
  • Understanding of networking topologies, such as switching, VLANs, routing, remote access, and various switching layers.
  • Familiarity with additional AWS services such as IoT, Machine Learning, auto-scaling, and containerization.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate Level.
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate Level.
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate Level.
  • ITIL certification.
