Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Underwriting Operations Specialist to join our underwriting operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and enhancing underwriting operations services and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Underwriting Support Model to the Marine and Aviation underwriting teams
  • Oversight of the performance of Underwriting Operations Technicians reporting to you
  • Conduct end of year and mid-year performance reviews
  • Provide training to new joiners reporting to you
  • Monitor KPIs
  • Daily monitoring of the Underwriting Operations Dashboard
  • Daily monitoring of the central mailbox
  • Ensure that tasks as defined in the Underwriting Operations task list are continuously transferred into Underwriting Operations away from the underwriting teams
  • Assist the Group Head of Operations with the delivery of the Underwriting Support Model
  • General policy administration processing
  • Preparation of materials and meeting attendance as required by the Group Head of Operations

About You

  • You will have had experience as an underwriting operations assistant, ideally within the insurance industry
  • You will have intermediate excel and word skills and you will be comfortable with using an in-house underwriting management system
  • You will have good interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team
  • You will have led/supervised a team previously
