Deputy Ward Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at a leading mental health hospital in South West London. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the ward and providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage risk across the ward and wider environment, ensuring statutory requirements are met.
  • Supervise a team of staff, contributing to their CPD, mandatory training, and appraisal process.
  • Act as a role model, promoting a culture of learning, development, and inquiry.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and actions, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence.
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate therapeutic interventions, enabling patients to develop coping strategies.
Requirements:
  • RMN Nurse qualification with a current active NMC Pin.
  • Eating Disorders experience.
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder & Learning Disorder experience.
  • Relevant post-registration experience.
