About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Service Desk Team Leader to join our team at Queens University. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT Service Desk team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical support services to our customers.

You will lead a team of Computer Assistants, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise to ensure efficient resolution of IT-related issues and exceptional customer service. Your ability to manage and motivate staff will be crucial in achieving our team's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Academic or vocational qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Significant recent relevant experience within an IT Service Desk/IT support environment
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, and networking principles
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity
