ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Lead Manager of Category Strategy is a crucial position within our Sourcing and Procurement Team, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement. This role involves providing strong leadership to the Category Management team and developing a comprehensive strategy for managing our Supply Chain and Category Management initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a proven history of building and leading high-performing teams, possess extensive market knowledge across all service sectors relevant to Integral UK, and formulate a supply chain and Category Management strategy that aligns with business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Category Managers, establishing clear goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
- Design and implement a robust Category Management program that defines commercial strategies for each category, identifying consolidation opportunities and aligning with business requirements.
- Maintain strong market awareness to inform category strategies and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the Supply Chain, focusing on optimizing the Preferred Supplier List (PSL) and ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Evaluate Integral's self-delivery capabilities against subcontracting strategies, ensuring a balanced approach to service delivery.
- Collaborate with Senior Client Sourcing Leads to convert non-preferred spend to the PSL, maximizing conversion opportunities.
- Achieve financial targets while identifying additional benefits and mitigating challenges such as inflation and material shortages.
- Enhance Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives to foster collaboration and gain insights into supplier performance and strategic plans.
- Promote the PSL through events and briefings to improve understanding and engagement across the business.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Integral UK and JLL, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage the Alliance Programme, driving value through partnerships and reporting on progress against targets.
- Support new business initiatives and existing client renewals by collaborating with Senior Client Sourcing Leads.
- Oversee the Supplier Onboarding process, ensuring compliance and risk management in supplier selection.
- Contribute to the development of the Integral Sourcing and Procurement Playbook.
- Engage in annual strategy planning, aligning with JLL's Category Management team for joint leverage opportunities.
- Support ESG and Diversity strategies by identifying diverse suppliers for collaboration.
- Work with Health and Safety teams to ensure compliance among subcontractors.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence to maintain accurate Supply Chain data and reporting.
- Serve as the primary contact for Category Management inquiries and supply chain development opportunities.
- Contribute to monthly reporting for the Board and leadership teams on Category Management activities.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Category Management within Hard FM Services or engineering sectors.
- 5+ years in a leadership role within Category Management.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPM are advantageous.
- Experience in supplier management, risk management, and relationship management.
- Proficient in key procurement skills including leadership, negotiation, and project management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- Familiarity with CAFM systems and e-Sourcing tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets.
