Job Type: Part-time

Hours: 4 hours per week, including weekends

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Support Worker to join our team and support a young boy with autism. The successful candidate will work closely with the child and their family to provide support and assistance with daily activities, outings, and community access.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to the child with autism, promoting independence and confidence
  • Assist with personal care, including toileting and dressing
  • Accompany the child on outings and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with the child's family and other professionals involved in their care
  • Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and activities

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children with autism and challenging behaviors
  • Good level of fitness and ability to keep up with the child's energetic pace
  • Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the child and their family
  • Valid UK driving license (desirable)
