Role Overview

As a Student Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in delivering outstanding service to our student residents. Your primary responsibility will be to manage daily administrative functions within our student accommodation facilities, ensuring seamless communication across various channels.

Your mission is to foster a welcoming and efficient living environment that enriches the student experience. You will engage regularly with students, significantly contributing to their satisfaction and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement:

  • Serve as a friendly and approachable first point of contact for students.
  • Address inquiries through various communication methods, including in-person interactions and written correspondence.
  • Maintain a positive and enthusiastic demeanor while assisting students.
  • Keep students informed through multiple communication platforms, ensuring they receive timely updates.
  • Guide students to relevant local and university support services.
  • Respond promptly to student requests and concerns.

Administrative Duties:

  • Perform general administrative tasks, including managing phone calls and emails, and maintaining organized records.
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  • Contribute to achieving property performance indicators, including customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Ensure high standards of property presentation, addressing any issues as they arise.
  • Manage internal processes related to tenancy and financial matters.

Sales and Marketing Initiatives:

  • Handle sales inquiries and follow up with potential residents in a professional manner.
  • Keep accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Conduct property tours, showcasing features and amenities to prospective residents.
  • Assist in organizing events and promotional activities for students.
  • Support the creation of engaging content for marketing purposes.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Efficiently manage maintenance requests reported by residents.
  • Coordinate with contractors to address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining adherence to local building codes and health standards.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience in a customer-facing or administrative role.
  • Strong teamwork and customer service abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with an appreciation for cultural diversity.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Purpose Built Student Accommodation sector.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
