About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team at Hexagon AB. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical sales support for our applications, encompassing metrology, demonstration, functionality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and showcase technical features and processes to prospective and existing customers.
  2. Effectively communicate product benefits for complex applications and provide recommendations to customers.
  3. Assist the regional sales team in providing product recommendations for customers' applications.
  4. Develop and deliver training programs to meet customer needs and ensure positive customer relationships.
  5. Prepare detailed technical specifications for quotations and develop programs/applications that effectively accomplish customer specifications/objectives.
  6. Manage minor programming and turnkey projects with little to no guidance and provide technical support to customers.
  7. Analyze and edit existing programs/applications as needed to optimize performance and ensure programs/applications work properly after maintenance and testing.
  8. Collaborate with engineering and marketing groups on product development projects and stay up-to-date with advancements in application engineering and new technologies.
Requirements
  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complex technical information to customers.
  2. Proficient with MS Office and strong customer service skills.
  3. Comfortable speaking before small groups and working in a team environment.
  4. Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  5. 2-6 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or similar environment.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires occasional travel and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be located in the South East United States and have experience with special analyzer experience, laser tracker, portable metrology software, or 3D metrology software.
