About the Role
We are partnering with a well-established Town Planning consultancy seeking a skilled Development Planner to join their expanding team in the Northwest region of England. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to transition to the client-side of the industry and contribute to exciting projects across the area.
Your Responsibilities
- Secure planning permissions for a diverse range of development projects.
- Conduct thorough site appraisals and feasibility studies.
- Prepare comprehensive planning submissions, including policy documents, appraisals, and applications.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Provide expert advice to clients on planning matters.
About You
You will be a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong understanding of the planning process. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with clients and stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Town Planning within either the public or private sector.
- Eligibility for MRTPI membership.
- A BSc qualification in planning or a related field, with relevant modules.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to prepare presentations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Experience with development appraisals, master planning, planning applications/appeals, and project management.
Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary between £25,000 and £35,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. You will also benefit from a comprehensive package of company perks.
