About the Client:

The client has diverse needs that may affect mobility, dexterity, and overall well-being. They are a vibrant individual who values creativity, intelligence, and a good sense of humor.

Compensation and Hours:

The role offers a competitive rate of £13 per hour, with flexible hours available, totaling up to approximately 18 hours per week. The support will cover morning and evening routines throughout the week, along with various daytime activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the client with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and household tasks.
  • Support the client in engaging with the community through social outings, shopping trips, and recreational activities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Build a strong rapport with the client to understand their preferences and needs.
  • Provide encouragement and motivation to help the client achieve their personal goals.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and shadowing opportunities to enhance skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Comfort with dogs and adherence to guidelines regarding interactions with the client's Assistance Dog.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently while respecting the client's wishes.
  • Previous experience in personal assistance or caregiving is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are paramount.
  • A valid driving license to facilitate transportation for the client.
  • Empathy and sensitivity in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying activities that support the client's mental health and well-being.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Vaccination status that aligns with health guidelines.

Note: This position requires an enhanced DBS disclosure, which will be funded by the employer.
