Bird Hills Golf Centre is seeking a qualified individual to become a vital part of our dedicated senior management team. We are in search of a professional who can enhance and optimize our operational processes while ensuring meticulous attention to detail in the daily financial oversight of the Club.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the clubhouse, ensuring efficient management of activities and events.
  • Identify opportunities for growth in the function, bar, and catering services, contributing to the financial success of the Club.
  • Lead function sales and operations, managing the entire process from initial inquiries to event execution, including but not limited to weddings, parties, and corporate events.
  • Ensure a visually appealing and appetizing food and beverage selection for both members and guests.
  • Manage the upkeep, maintenance, and compliance of the Clubhouse and bar facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on the administration of the catering department.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of all Front of House personnel.
  • Ensure all Front of House staff receive comprehensive training in Health and Safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Develop staff schedules and manage rotas for Front of House employees.
  • Work with the General Manager to create and implement long-term strategic plans for the clubhouse, bar, and catering services.
  • Handle clubhouse cash management, including the reconciliation of daily takings.
  • Lead the hospitality team, managing bar stock orders, deliveries, and supplier relationships.
  • Conduct regular and precise beverage inventory checks.
  • Ensure that bar and kitchen equipment is routinely inspected, maintained, and repaired as necessary.
  • Act as a key holder and be available for emergency call-outs.
  • Perform any additional duties as reasonably required.
  • Inspire and motivate the clubhouse, bar, and kitchen staff through effective communication.
  • Staffing levels will be pre-approved and adjusted only at the direction of the General Manager.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop risk assessments for clubhouse activities.
  • Adhere to the Club's GDPR and health and safety policies.

Qualifications:

Experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector (e.g., hotel, restaurant, or club environment) is essential.

Proven experience in function management is required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
