About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Detention Custody Officer to join our team at Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth arrival process for detainees and providing them with the support they need throughout their detention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and promote on-site services, including healthcare, welfare, faith and cultural provisions, education, and recreation activities.
  • Form supportive and appropriate relationships with detainees, communicating effectively to ensure their needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all detainees.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Our Recruitment Process
