What Are We Seeking?
Due to ongoing growth, DPS Group is in search of a Project Coordinator to enhance our team. The primary role of the project coordinator is to manage the technical elements of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints and according to specified requirements, while upholding the highest standards of Health and Safety throughout the project lifecycle.
This position necessitates the management of technical initiatives that require extensive collaboration across various departments within DPS Group. The coordinator will oversee personnel, financial resources, and project timelines to meet project expectations and mitigate any Health & Safety, Financial, or Technical risks associated with the project.
As a lead for both projects and clients, you will coordinate with all stakeholders involved, interpreting their needs, expectations, and limitations to achieve successful project outcomes.
Although the role is primarily home/office-based, significant time will be spent on-site managing multiple projects as necessary.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Establishing exemplary standards of leadership in promoting HSEQ procedures and best practices, ensuring adherence to DPS Group protocols and legal requirements.
- Assisting in the maintenance of our Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant certifications).
- Acting as the primary liaison for clients throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations for both the client and DPS Group.
- Collaborating with vendors and across DPS Group departments, including but not limited to: Automation Process Control (APC), Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning to ensure successful project completion.
- Overseeing project financials to ensure all departments operate within budgetary limits.
- Building and nurturing positive relationships with a diverse range of clients, serving as the main contact for technical and implementation aspects of the project.
- Developing technical specifications and Health and Safety documentation for subcontracted work, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met. Verifying the competency of contract personnel prior to the commencement of work.
- Creating project plans using Microsoft Project in collaboration with clients and department managers, ensuring the project plan is actively managed and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Generating, controlling, and submitting project-related documentation in a timely manner throughout the project lifecycle.
- Completing any provided training to a high professional standard and ensuring ongoing personal development through various available channels.
- Reporting incidents, accidents, or near misses immediately to the HSEQ Manager or Project Manager and assisting in the completion of any related HSEQ documentation.
What Qualifications Are Required?
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience with a recognized apprenticeship.
- Proven experience in delivering Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) projects.
- Experience in managing projects to a high standard.
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification (preferred).
- ECS Health & Safety card (preferred).
