Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to become a vital part of our Kier Highways major projects team. This role involves supporting the commercial team on various projects.
Location:
Remote working options available, with occasional office visits required.
Business Area:
Kier Highways
Contract Type:
Full Time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Develop, oversee, and control project budgets to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Contract Management: Draft and evaluate contract documents, including specifications and drawings. Manage agreements with subcontractors.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly financial reports and conduct regular financial assessments, providing insights to senior management.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies, maintaining an up-to-date risk register.
- Procurement: Direct the procurement process for materials and subcontractors, negotiating terms and pricing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in cost management, contract administration, and risk assessment.
Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, laws, and regulations is essential.
