About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Sanderson Recruitment. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the global networks and assisting with the technical delivery of all services across the network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the global networks and ensure client uptime
  • Assist with the technical delivery of all services across the network
  • Hold responsibility for queries across technical design, best practice, and deployment methodologies
  • Act as an escalation point for all Network Operations
  • Work with the network and infrastructure teams to ensure client uptime and liaise with internal/external customers to understand technical requirements through to resolution
  • Investigate and diagnose network-related incidents and analyze/upgrade network resources where required, including router/switching upgrades
Requirements
  • Extensive technical background with Cisco routing and switching technologies
  • Strong understanding of the technologies and challenges in data centre environments
  • Broad understanding of Juniper network environments (EX/QFX Switching, SRX Firewalls) - JNCIP preferred
  • Strong understanding of Juniper SRX security appliances
  • Analyze and upgrade network resources - router/switch/uplink upgrades
  • Deployment and maintenance for the trading, WAN, and public network infrastructure
  • Maintenance of network uptime
  • Responding to customer queries and adhering to contracted SLAs
  • Financial Services experience is beneficial
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management
Nice to Haves
  • Experience of network design in large data centres
  • Experience with Arista low latency switching environments
  • Understanding of VXLAN/EVPN deployment and management
  • Network Automation/Programming using Python and/or other scripting languages
  • Thorough understanding of Linux and Windows Server OS
