About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team in West Sussex County Council. As an integral part of our SEND and Inclusion service, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our wellbeing strategy and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) strategy across educational settings, children, young people, and families throughout West Sussex.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply psychology with children and young people to achieve evidence-based outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality services.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills to persuade and influence.
  • Self-reflect and evaluate performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Honours Degree in Psychology or recognised equivalent qualification.
  • Substantial relevant experience working with children in education or children's services or both.
  • Successful completion of specific postgraduate professional training as an educational psychologist.
  • Recent successful training or experience as an educational psychologist.
  • Knowledge of applying psychology in practice.
