Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work in our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to children and young people with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for children and young people with mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to provide holistic care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of service plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A medical degree and registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Completion of a CAMHS training program or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong clinical and leadership skills.
