About the Role:
We are in search of an accomplished finance leader who is passionate about steering financial excellence. As a pivotal member of our team, you will report directly to the Finance Director and play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to our strategic objectives within the investment sector.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and oversee the Finance team, ensuring precise and timely financial reporting.
2. Manage the month-end closing process and prepare management accounts.
3. Enhance processes and controls with a focus on automation and efficiency.
4. Maintain a strong financial control environment.
5. Supervise Accounts Receivable and Payable teams for effective transaction management.
6. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including FCA regulations and tax filings.
7. Mentor and guide your team, promoting professional growth.
8. Collaborate with Operations to streamline processes.
9. Work with auditors and external advisors for annual reporting and tax matters.
10. Oversee payroll and manage cost control for business sustainability.
11. Manage cash flow and reporting.
12. Support the transition to a unified general ledger/ERP system.
13. Uphold financial policies and ensure compliance.

Candidate Profile:
Leadership Experience:
A proven track record in leading finance teams with exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Analytical Thinker:
Ability to thrive in dynamic environments while managing multiple projects effectively.

Strong numerical and analytical skills with a commitment to accuracy.

Qualifications:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a background in financial services (banking, investment management, insurance).
Extensive experience with financial software, particularly Sage, and advanced MS Excel skills (knowledge of SQL, Python, or VBA is advantageous).
Experience in general ledger migration, including project management and reconciliations.
