Job Opportunity - Principal Electronics Engineer

The successful Principal Electronics Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and development of electronics for instrumentation and acoustics applications at ACS Performance.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to coordinate Electronics Engineering projects and tasks, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Provide guidance to staff to ensure the engineering team completes project assignments efficiently and effectively.
  • Mentor and develop the Engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Participate in risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical recommendations to ensure high-quality electronics design.
  • Participate in technical audits and ensure recommendations are implemented to maintain industry standards.
  • Develop and provide technical standards and guidance in all software design and development, ensuring consistency and best practices.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking an individual with expertise in:

  • Analogue and digital circuit design, preferably in an instrumentation development environment.
  • Mixed signal design, including pre-amplifiers, filters, power supplies, interfacing, and analogue-digital conversion for precision instrumentation applications.
  • Microcontroller-based circuit design and embedded software experience is essential.
  • FPGA-based circuit design experience is desirable.
  • The candidate will be expected to work independently or as a member of a team, contributing to all aspects of the product development cycle from requirement analysis through design & development into production.
  • The candidate will be responsible for producing design documentation and test specifications.
