Job Overview:
Assist the pharmacy division in providing an outstanding medication management service to all clients, overseeing the acquisition, preparation, dispensing, and distribution of pharmaceuticals.
Ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy department, delivering a safe and effective medication management service to all patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
Provide clinical insights regarding medications to all patients.Guarantee precise and timely billing.
Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory, professional, and best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pharmaceutical expertise and support in patient care within the healthcare facility.
Assist the pharmacy division in providing an excellent medication management service to all clients.
Participate in daily multidisciplinary team rounds.
Oversee the acquisition, preparation, dispensing, and distribution of pharmaceuticals.
Influence prescribing practices and medication management within the facility.
Ensure the pharmacy department operates smoothly, providing a safe and effective medication management service to all patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory, professional, and best practice standards.Ensure accurate and timely billing of services.
Develop and implement departmental standard operating procedures.
Support the Chief Pharmacist in implementing and monitoring national guidelines.
Engage in audit activities aimed at enhancing the quality of services provided by the department, including medication incident reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:Degree in Pharmacy
Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (any existing or pending Fitness to Practice issues must be declared upon application)
Postgraduate Diploma relevant to hospital pharmacy practice is preferred but not mandatory
2-3 years of post-registration experience
Clinical pharmacy experience in a secondary acute setting, or demonstrated ability to apply clinical skills in an acute environment.
Membership in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS)
Experience in acute NHS healthcare
Experience in acute private healthcare
Postgraduate Diploma relevant to hospital pharmacy practice
