About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at IDEXX. As a key contributor to our laboratory testing team, you will play a critical role in helping veterinarians diagnose and treat pets across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process tissue samples for diagnostic evaluation by our team of Veterinary Pathologists
  • Perform and monitor inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents used
  • Set up and run lab tests, and results according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Work closely with colleagues to exchange information and ensure efficient processes

Requirements:

  • BSc in Biology/Biomedical Science/Animal Science/Zoology or equivalent
  • Experience working in a laboratory, including setting up, running, and reading lab tests
  • Operating laboratory equipment (microscopes and/or clinical diagnostic analyzers) is a plus

Working Hours:

This position is to be filled for the late shift, Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
