About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cytology Laboratory Scientist/MLT to join our team at IDEXX. As a key contributor to our laboratory operations, you will play a vital role in performing laboratory analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory analyses and tests using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other laboratory diagnostic tools.
  • Culture for microbiology, make smears of fluids, and stain slides.
  • Set up and run lab tests, read and release results according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a laboratory, preferably with experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests, and operating laboratory equipment (microscopes and/or clinical diagnostic analyzers).
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, Animal Science, or Zoology, or equivalent.
  • Positive attitude, with a passion for delivering high-quality results and supporting colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work reliably and precisely.
  • Strong sense of team spirit and responsibility.

Work Schedule:

  • This is a full-time (37.5 hours/week) permanent position, with hours Tuesday - Saturday, 06:00 - 14:30. (Hours may vary during the training period, and a flexible start time can be discussed.)
  • Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
