About the Role

We are seeking two skilled Joiners to join our Property Services team on a permanent basis. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for carrying out joinery repairs and general maintenance across our 22,000 properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out joinery repairs and maintenance to the highest standard, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Assess work required and make recommendations on action to be taken, reporting back to the Repairs Service Centre if necessary.
  • Communicate with customers, using empathy and patience to ensure they are satisfied and understand the process.
  • Abide by health and safety regulations, including HASAWA and COSHH.
  • Update system information using Dynamic Repairs Scheduler.
  • Originate, maintain, and provide updated work documentation as required.
  • Drive to and from premises around the Bradford district.
About You
  • You will be honest, courteous, diligent, and punctual, with a strong work ethic and ability to use your own initiative.
  • Experience working with PVC installations, loft insulation, and water pipes would be advantageous.
  • You will have basic IT skills to update our systems via a smartphone or tablet.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent qualifications.
  • A full manual driving license is essential.
  • Relevant experience in joinery maintenance works, including working at heights on ladders, site work, refurbishments, day-to-day maintenance, fitting kitchens, and door locking mechanisms.
  • An awareness of health and safety systems, including COSHH and HASAWA.
  • A full set of your own tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, including listening to customer problems, empathizing, and being clear on the process.
