About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Joiner to join our team at Incommunities, a leading social housing landlord in the region. As a Joiner, you will play a crucial role in carrying out joinery repairs and general maintenance across our 22,000 properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out joinery repairs and maintenance to the highest standard, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Assess work required and make recommendations on action to be taken, ensuring this is reported back to the Repairs Service Centre if it is outside of your core trade.
  • Communicate with customers, using empathy and patience to ensure they are satisfied and understand the process that needs to be taken.
  • Abide by the requirements of HASAWA and all other related safety regulations.
  • Update system information using Dynamic Repairs Scheduler.
  • Originate, maintain, and provide updated work documentation as required.
  • Drive to and from premises around the Bradford district.
About You
  • You will be honest, courteous, diligent, and punctual, with a strong work ethic and ability to use your own initiative.
  • You will have experience working with PVC installations, loft insulation, and work on water pipes, which would be advantageous.
  • You will have basic IT skills to be able to update our systems via a smartphone or tablet.
Requirements
  • You will have a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent qualifications.
  • You will have a full manual driving license.
  • You will have relevant, enhanced experience in joinery maintenance works, including working at heights on ladders.
  • You will have an awareness of Health and Safety systems such as COSHH and HASAWA.
  • You will have a full set of your own tools.
  • You will have excellent communication and customer service skills.
