Position Summary:

The Strategic Planning Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting Program Management and Budget Control initiatives by ensuring that business activities are effectively planned and executed in accordance with organizational policies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the planning of essential business activities, providing insights into their impact on overall operations to ensure successful implementation.
  • Assisting the Planning team manager by gathering and analyzing information from multiple departments to support comprehensive planning assessments.
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules, employing methodologies such as Critical Path Analysis and scenario planning.
  • Delivering regular updates on project activities, both weekly and monthly.
  • Collaborating closely with Project Managers to enhance project forecasting and metrics management.
  • Engaging with the Chief Commercial Officer to conduct urgent analyses of critical tasks.
  • Developing innovative strategies to improve operational efficiencies and ensure compliance with company control policies, including leading monthly review meetings to discuss necessary changes and their justifications.
  • Coordinating and facilitating the setup of new projects and preparing for significant meetings.

Required Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering (2.1 or above) or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Project Management
  • Familiarity with Matrix Management structures
  • Understanding of industry standards and practices

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of ERP and MRP systems, as well as drawing release processes
  • Ability to develop and analyze project plans
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation
  • Comprehensive understanding of planning control and scheduling methodologies
  • Experience in planning and data evaluation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated skills in detailed analysis and problem-solving
  • Ability to establish and promote effective working practices and processes
  • Capable of thriving in collaborative team environments
  • Adaptable to evolving project requirements and able to contribute positively to process development
