Pediatric Consultant Position

General Responsibilities in Community and Acute Care

Salary Range: £96,963 - £128,841

Additional Distant Island Allowance: £1,279

Relocation Expenses: Up to £8,000

We invite applications for the Pediatric Consultant position. Candidates must be registered with the GMC Specialist Register and possess a License to Practice, or be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within six months of the interview date. We offer full support during this process and are open to considering job share applications.

Your workplace will be the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, a modern 97-bed Rural General Hospital (Plus). Working on Scotland's largest island provides a unique opportunity to blend contemporary clinical practice with an unmatched lifestyle.

The position adheres to NHS Terms and Conditions of the New Consultant Grade (Scotland) 2004, requiring 10 (8 DCC + 2 SPAs) PAs per week, with the possibility of up to 2 EPAs weekly and an 8% availability allowance, contingent upon an agreed job plan. The on-call rota is set at 1:2.
