Overall Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the quarterly reserving process, supporting data analytics, and contributing to the development of business data models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculation of the quarterly reserving process, including data collation and validation, actuarial modeling, results analysis, and report preparation.
  • Provide data analytical support and guidance to business users, understanding business needs, developing reports, and providing user training.
  • Support with business data modeling, implementing reporting best practices, and calculating various capital requirements.
  • Carry out other ad hoc analysis as required by the business.

Person Specification:

  • Newly or qualified actuary with at least 1-3 years' reserving experience in non-life insurance.
  • Experience with reserving software and advanced Excel skills, ideally with some knowledge of a programming language.
  • Data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to work in a cross-functional team and take ownership of tasks.
  • Good organisation skills and a commitment to excellence.
