Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and energetic individual to join our team as a Cleaning Operations Manager at Robinson Services. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for leading the cleaning operation at our sites, ensuring the highest standard of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the cleaning operation at our sites, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and industry standards.
  • Manage and develop a team of cleaning staff, providing training and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Work closely with our client's facilities department and team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maximize contract profitability and minimize losses through effective management of resources and services.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and sub-contractors on a daily basis.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of internal management information and client reports.
  • Accountable for the development of employees, identifying training needs and utilizing resources to progress their skills and knowledge.
  • Select, recruit, and vet employees in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all company HR policies and procedures.
  • Recognize opportunities for growth within the contract and new business, communicating these to your line manager.
  • Accountable for payroll and ensure all relative documentation is prepared in line with deadlines and budget controls.
  • Participate and represent the company at client meetings and ensure all tasks are completed within designated timescales.
  • Ensure all necessary resources, materials, and machines are available and maintained to contract specification.
  • Manage all relevant services (sub-contractors) on site.
  • Accountable for the implementation and adherence to all Company Health and Safety policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Order materials, chemicals, and equipment in line with budget.
  • Attend training courses as requested and update personal skills and knowledge in areas of business, cleaning industry advancement, and health & safety.
  • Ensure the contract is operating to and exceeding the required specification and performance, and is regularly audited in line with specification.
  • Ensure business sector is fully compliant with Industry Standards, relevant employment legislation, ISO, and Company procedures & policies.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Cleaning Manager, Cleaning Assistant Manager, Senior Supervisor, or Soft Services Manager in cleaning contract services for at least 3 years.
  • Excellent knowledge of cleaning materials and techniques.
  • Confident and flexible approach, with previous experience managing and directing cleaning and facilities staff.
  • Highly organized and able to schedule staff rotas and distribute work evenly.
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Highly flexible with a demonstrated willingness to take on a responsible approach to any issues.
  • Passion for people and cleaning.
  • People management and service manager support.
