We are seeking enthusiastic individuals for the role of Finance Administration Trainee within Devon County Council. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in our comprehensive Apprenticeship Program, designed to equip candidates with essential skills in Business Administration (Level 3).

Program Overview:
The contract spans 20 months, during which apprentices will gain hands-on experience across various departments within Finance and Public Value. This rotational approach allows for exposure to different functions, enhancing your understanding of local government finance services.

Support and Development:
You will join a cohort of approximately 15 Finance Apprentices, providing a supportive network for sharing experiences and learning.

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive starting salary ranging from £22,737 to £23,114 per annum, along with 26 days of annual leave, flexible working options, training opportunities, and access to a pension scheme.

Ideal Candidates Will:
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and a commitment to personal success.
  • Show interest in exploring various finance services within local government and how they align with future career goals.
  • Exhibit teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Be eager to connect and communicate with fellow apprentices.
  • Possess strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.

  • Commit to achieving their qualification through dedicated study and practical placements.
  • Meet the academic requirements, including a minimum of grade C (4) GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
