Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Buyer to join our team at Encore Recruitment Limited. As a Junior Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting our client's procurement process, working closely with the buying team to negotiate prices with suppliers, manage critical paths, and analyze trade reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Support: Assist in negotiating cost prices with suppliers to achieve department targets.
  • Critical Path Management: Manage the department's critical path, chasing suppliers to adhere to deadlines and participating in product CP meetings.
  • Buyer Support: Assist the buyer in completing buying comments for all samples received, chair meetings in the buyer's absence, and create wholesale buy sheets.
  • Trade Analysis: Analyze weekly trade reports for website and wholesale, identifying actions and opportunities.
  • Comp Shops: Regularly conduct comp shops to identify new and missed opportunities in the range.
  • Meetings and Minutes: Attend key internal and customer meetings, taking minutes for the buyer and ensuring follow-up actions are made.
  • Range Building: Assist the buyer in range building, including style confirmation, colors, and product development for all seasonal ranges.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Experience: Relevant buying experience in the fashion industry to a similar level.
  • Communication Skills: Great communication skills, coordinating teams such as Merchandising, Design, QC, and Studio.
  • Commercial Awareness: Commercially aware, able to interpret and adapt market trends to maximize sales.
  • Fashion Knowledge: Keen interest in fashion and trends.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Initiative: Driven with a strong sense of initiative.
