Position Overview
This position is for a Band 7 Ultrasound Specialist, rotating between various facilities within the organization. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a highly skilled team and enhance your expertise in a dynamic environment. The organization offers both Obstetric and Non-Obstetric ultrasound services across multiple locations, including outpatient and inpatient scanning, as well as specialized gynaecological services.
During your initial period and beyond, you will receive support and guidance from experienced Ultrasound Clinical Specialists.
The Ultrasound Department operates from 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of additional sessions on weekends.
You will report to the Ultrasound Modality Manager and the Diagnostic Pathway Assistant General Manager for Ultrasound. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of Sonographers, Radiologists, and other specialists to ensure the delivery of high-quality ultrasound services.
The Ultrasound team is well-established, dedicated, and professional, comprising a diverse group of individuals with a wide range of skills and experiences.

The ultrasound service within Radiology is part of the Clinical Support Division.

Job Responsibilities
To be qualified to perform ultrasound examinations, independently conducting and providing diagnostic reports for a minimum of 95% of all examinations.
The successful candidate will be required to work at the following locations:

Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations and provide concise, detailed reports of findings in accordance with departmental protocols and procedures.
Explain procedures to patients in a manner that ensures their full understanding of the examination and obtain informed consent.
Effectively communicate scan findings to patients, demonstrating a caring attitude, empathy, and providing support as needed.
Communicate scan findings to clinicians effectively.
Maintain a high standard of self-discipline and adhere to the organization's Values and Behaviours policy.
Assist the Ultrasound Modality Manager in service management as required.
Qualifications & Experience

- Qualified in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent professional body.
