About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Gameplay Animation Engineer to join our team at Playground Games. As a key member of our animation team, you will be responsible for developing high-level animation systems and collaborating with our design teams to achieve creative solutions.

Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of animation technologies and a passion for engineering systems that deliver exceptional results. You will work closely with our animation and technical animation teams to ensure the quality of animation in our games is of the highest standard.

This is a permanent role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa, with a hybrid work model in place. We offer relocation assistance if required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-level animation systems working alongside our animation engineering team.
  • Collaborate with our design teams to help develop creative solutions to achieve their goals.
  • Work with the animation and technical animation teams to understand their requirements.
Requirements:
  • Engineering experience preferably within animation.
  • C++ and software architecture skills.
  • Passion for animation and engineering, and a desire to keep learning and staying on the cutting edge.
  • A genuine passion for video games.
