Milestone Infrastructure is seeking a skilled Highway Design Engineer to join our team in Hampshire. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will play a crucial role in delivering successful projects and ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop design packages, reports, and other deliverables to achieve project outcomes;
- Conduct site visits and surveys to inform design decisions;
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, including sub-consultants;
- Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation;
- Resource planning and staff management, including training and development;
- Collaborate with customers to understand and develop project objectives and deliverables;
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Incorporated Engineer or highly experienced engineer working towards IEng / CEng;
- Design and construction experience in the highways sector;
- Commercial awareness in project delivery;
- Awareness of Local Highway Authority standards;
- Evidence of developing assistant engineers, graduates, and technicians;
- Working knowledge of programming tools such as ASTA;
- Evidence of managing Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction;
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other design software, including for drainage, alignment, and traffic signs;
- Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word;
- UK/EEA driving license.
