About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Statistician to join our team at Howden. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in guiding our approach to data-driven strategies and delivering insightful risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data collection methods to inform our climate and nature risk management initiatives
  • Conduct stochastic modeling and analysis to identify trends and patterns in large datasets
  • Develop and maintain financial risk models that address climate and nature risk issues for our clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into our business decisions
Requirements
  • At least a 2:1 degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field
  • Demonstrable experience in a professional setting, either public or private sector
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience communicating complex statistical concepts to stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient programming skills, with experience working with large datasets and statistical software
  • Experience working with climate-related data and applications, including physical, economic, social, and nature-based risks
