Exciting Opportunity for a Principal / Associate Director Town Planner

Wardell Armstrong International Ltd. is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong presence in the UK. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal / Associate Director Town Planner to join our team in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of working on medium to large-scale planning projects, including major infrastructure, waste, and energy developments. They will be responsible for shaping and assessing the case for development projects, preparing planning applications, and providing advice and guidance to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement planning strategies for development projects
  • Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on planning and land use to clients
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in planning policies and regulations

Requirements:

  • Chartered Town Planner with a good Town Planning degree or related qualification
  • Proven experience in preparing planning applications for the public and/or private sector
  • Excellent analytical and written skills
  • Strong team working ethic and ability to work independently
  • IT literate in Microsoft Office and Excel, with experience in GIS an advantage
