Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Environmental Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of public areas to identify potential environmental hazards and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Issue Environmental Fines: Issue fines to individuals or businesses found to be in breach of environmental regulations.
  • Support Prosecutions: Provide evidence and support to prosecutors in court cases related to environmental offenses.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Legislation: Stay knowledgeable about relevant environmental legislation and regulations, including the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2016 and the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of all environmental inspections, fines issued, and court proceedings.
