Electrical Site Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to join our Construction team at Burham WSW, Kent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and controlling all electrical site activities to ensure a high-quality product is produced in line with current standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise site electrical installations to ensure they are completed to the required standard.
  • Ensure SHE standards are maintained and safe systems of work are being adhered to.
  • Verify new electrical systems to ensure they meet the required specifications.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and programme to ensure timely completion of electrical installations.
  • Review and monitor supplier inspection and test plans to ensure they are up to date and relevant to the work activity.
  • Attend site inductions and toolbox talks to ensure all site personnel are aware of electrical safety procedures.
  • Support commissioning activities where required to ensure electrical installations are completed to the required standard.
  • Attend collaborative planning meetings to develop site delivery programmes and ensure electrical installations are completed on time.
  • As Electrical Appointed Person, ensure electrical safety rules are adhered to and supporting documentation is produced in line with CMDP electrical safety rules.
  • Carry out electrical isolations and regular electrical safety inspections on temporary and permanent equipment.
  • Hold 121's with supply chain supervisors to ensure take 5s are carried out and electrical installations are completed to the required standard.
  • Assist with compilation of project takeover documentation to ensure electrical installations are completed to the required standard.
  • Oversee electrical testing is being undertaken in line with BS7671, review test results against guidance note 3 and manufacturers literature.
  • Issue limitation of access permits to ensure only authorized personnel have access to electrical installations.
  • Keep a daily diary of site activities to ensure all electrical installations are completed to the required standard.
