About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fashion Buyer to join our dynamic team at Sosandar. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for sourcing and developing high-quality women's footwear and accessories that meet our brand's aesthetic and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our supply base to build a commercial range of footwear and accessories that reflect our brand's style and customer preferences.
  • Develop and implement range-building strategies to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Monitor best and worst sellers to ensure our footwear and accessories offerings are aligned with customer demand.
  • Manage the critical path to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Improve category bought-in margin by renegotiating or re-sourcing with suppliers.
  • Source, select, develop, and negotiate with suppliers to deliver the right products at the right time.
  • Maximize best-seller potential by developing additional styles and reducing risk buying.
  • Identify product opportunities by reviewing competition and inspirational brands.
  • Complete buying trips as needed within the UK and internationally.
  • Present to the management team on a regular basis to ensure clear and concise communication.

Requirements:

  • A commercial fashion eye with the ability to understand our brand's aesthetic, customer preferences, and competitors.
  • Experience in trading an e-commerce department to maximize sales.
  • The ability to problem-solve under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must enjoy change and be open to new ways of working, as well as sharing ways to improve processes.
  • Able to take responsibility and make decisions efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to enable effective working relationships with all departments and levels.
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Understanding of the test and repeat e-commerce buying model.
  • Experience buying for high-street footwear brands.
