Full Time and Part Time positions available for this Support Specialist role. Salary: £90 - £105 per day based on experience.

Are you a dedicated support specialist looking for a new opportunity? Do you have a background in assisting students with special educational needs (SEN)? Are you prepared to work within the Brent area for mainstream primary educational institutions? If your answer is yes, Teach Plus would like to connect with you regarding this Support Specialist position.

Teach Plus collaborates with exceptional mainstream primary and SEN institutions that are in search of a skilled Support Specialist to enhance their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing 1:1 support to a student with SEN who requires additional assistance with their social, emotional, and physical development. You will play a vital role in educating and supporting children who exhibit challenging behaviours within the educational environment. The successful candidate will have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of these students.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Experience in tutoring small groups of students with ASD, SEMH, SLD, MLD, or ADHD.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Positive behaviour management, restraint training, or a background in support roles.
  • Experience tutoring within SEN institutions or provisions.
  • Ability to connect with students on a personal level, demonstrating a firm yet caring approach.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Experience supporting students with SEN - particularly ASD and ADHD.
  • CACHE level 3 in Teaching and Learning support in educational settings.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Right to work within the UK.
