About the Role

Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist to join our Planned Care (Surgery) team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines within the Emergency and Integrated Care Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to a sub-speciality within the Emergency and Integrated Care Division.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and potential issues.
  • Monitor and review the therapeutic use of medicines.
  • Ensure effective treatment outcomes with medicines.
  • Monitor patients for adverse effects of their medicines.
  • Support patient discharge planning with respect to medication.
  • Ensure the safe, clinically effective, and cost-effective use of medicines.
  • Demonstrate professional accountability to patients.
Qualifications and Experience

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Up to date GPhC registration.
  • Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Proven hospital experience is essential.
  • Strong understanding of medication management and patient care.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
