About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Promotion Advisor to join our team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Maternity Tobacco Dependency Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized smoking cessation support to women and families in a flexible and innovative way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver intermediate smoking cessation support to pregnant women and their families, using evidence-based interventions such as CO monitoring and Nicotine Replacement Therapy.
  • Work closely with local stop smoking services, midwives, and obstetricians to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in educating pregnant clients and staff about the benefits of stopping smoking in pregnancy and provide support to those wanting to quit.
  • Engage with the Smokefree pregnancy incentive scheme, maintaining accurate records and submitting reports as required.
  • Collaborate with the Public Health team to ensure the work aligns with wider strategy and contributes to the reduction of smoking rates in the local population.
Requirements
  • Maths and English GCSE A-C or equivalent.
  • Level 3 Qualification.
  • Previous experience in a patient-facing role, public health, or behavioural change projects.
  • Ability to work alone under direction, manage deadlines, and prioritize work.
  • Full UK driver's license and access to a vehicle.
