We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our team at Bath Bid. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving all main financial and administrative processes, as well as shaping the future growth and direction of our business.
Key Responsibilities:- Bookkeeping and Account Reconciliation: You will be responsible for accurate and timely bookkeeping and account reconciliation, with support from an additional resource or graduate accountant during peak season.
- Payments and Bank Account Management: You will oversee and schedule a wide variety of supplier payments across multiple currencies and bank accounts, with a strong understanding of key treasury skills to optimize FX exposure and savings interest positions.
- Personnel Finances: You will work closely with our accountants to process the monthly payroll in both the UK and France, as well as handle appropriate deductions and invoicing where applicable.
- Statutory Reporting: You will oversee monthly and annual reporting requirements, including the production of VAT returns and annual accounts, working alongside our accountants in both the UK and France.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: You will help to set suitable budgets for all aspects of operations, using established models and historical data, and focusing on high-value decision areas.
- Management Accounts: You will produce regular management accounts for internal use and for our property owners, to help track and manage the performance of our business in critical areas.
- Process Design and Governance: You will provide design input to all processes with a financial consequence, ensuring suitable governance is in place to control financial risk, including the management of our Soldo platform.
- Contract Management: You will oversee the diligence of our contract management for suppliers and property owners, ensuring contracts remain up to date and accurately managed.
- Communication: You will possess strong communication skills, interacting with our property owners and staff, and being adept at using translation tools where necessary.
