About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Risk Assurance Manager to join our team at BDO. As a key member of our Digital and Risk Advisory Services (DRAS) team, you will be responsible for delivering internal audit, advisory, and Third-Party Assurance (TPA) engagements to a wide range of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver ESG assurance and advice to clients across various sectors, supporting them in achieving their ESG objectives.
  • Develop and maintain deep client relationships, and play a key role in developing junior members of the BDO team.
  • Manage projects and support the growth of our ESG team members, working with a wide variety of clients.
  • Provide advisory support to clients implementing and improving their ESG arrangements.
  • Ensure clients' reporting under various directives, such as CSRD, ISSB, GHG Protocol, and financing agreements, is subject to independent assurance in line with quality requirements.
Requirements
  • Internal audit or regulatory assurance or advisory work experience.
  • Existing knowledge of the UK regulatory environment, with a focus on ESG & sustainability, as well as relevant global reporting initiatives.
  • Experience in delivering and managing work under recognized assurance standards, such as ISAE 3000 and 3410.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to influence, lead, engage, and manage stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead smaller engagements or sections of complex engagements, including performing detailed review of files and working papers.
