Culinary Specialist

Position Overview:

The Culinary Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor with various meal preparation and cooking tasks. This position is essential in ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, adhering to established recipes and dietary requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality service while maintaining hygiene standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Engage in skilled culinary tasks, including menu planning, portion management, and catering for special dietary needs.
• Support record-keeping and hygiene management, while overseeing the activities of junior staff.
• Manage operational aspects of service points and perform administrative tasks as necessary.
• Carry out general kitchen responsibilities, including cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
• Promote our food service offerings to stakeholders to enhance participation and engagement.
• Ensure the security of kitchen premises as required.
• Adhere to legal regulations, codes of conduct, and the values of the educational institution.
